South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has been recently rumored to plan the release of new high-end smartphones next year, packing them with 1080p screens, and it seems that the move has already been confirmed.

According to a recent article on MT, the handset vendor is looking to launch a successor to Optimus G in 2013, and will pack it with such a display.

Additionally, the company is expected to bring to the market a smartphone with flexible display in the second half of the next year, one that would make it in the company’s Optimus line as well.

In fact, the phone maker is also said to plan launching smartphones with better screens in all of its current series of devices, including the G Series and L Series. A new model in the Vu family might also emerge.
