Optimus 4X HD, one of the most powerful LG smartphones currently on the market, is expected to arrive in Canada at WIND Mobile and Videotron as soon as next month.

Initially believed to be en-route to Rogers, Bell or TELUS, the phone is now said to be an exclusive to those two carriers, MobileSyrup notes, although no further info on its release date or pricing has emerged thus far.

The LG Optimus 4X HD will hit shelves with a large 4.7-inch True HD-IPS display (720 × 1280 resolution) and with a fast quad-core 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

It will also sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as a 1.3MP front-facing camera for making video calls.

The smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, yet it should receive an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the not too distant future.
