South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics, the manufacturer chosen to build the latest Google phone out there, the Nexus 4, is reportedly already testing the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone.

The info emerged only days after the company denied plans to launch a new Nexus smartphone, and is suggesting that Nexus 5 prototypes are alive and kicking in LG’s labs, a recent post on Daum.net states.

Apparently, the company has been testing the device for about a month now, though under strict security. Google’s CEO Larry Page is said to have already seen the device.

The mobile phone is said to be running under the next flavor of the Android operating system, supposedly version 5.0 Key Lime Pie, as UnwiredView notes.

Apparently, LG might have sold around 3 million Nexus 4 devices to date, though the figure hasn’t been officially confirmed.
