South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is rumored again to be working on a Windows Phone 8-based smartphone, although the company hasn’t decided as of yet whether it will indeed launch the phone or not.

Apparently, LG India’s Managing Director Kwon Soon has already confirmed the aforementioned smartphone to Light Reading India.

“At home (South Korea), we are actually working on our Windows Phone 8 OS powered smartphone,” Kwon Soon reportedly said.

Apparently, LG will continue to focus on the development of Android devices even after the release of a WP8 device, given that Google’s OS already enjoys high popularity all around the world.

Even so, LG sees Windows Phone as having great potential, especially with Microsoft working hard on increasing awareness on it. Hopefully, more info on the matter will emerge soon, so keep an eye on this space to learn the news.
