South Korean handset maker LG has just announced the immediate availability of the hotly-anticipated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Optimus Vu 2 and Optimus LTE 2.

Both updates are now pushed OTA (over the air), in stages. Keep in mind that only users in South Korea are eligible for this upgrade.

LG promised several weeks ago it would bring Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade to several Optimus high-end devices, including the Optimus Vu 2 and Optimus LTE 2.

The company is expected to roll out a Jelly Bean update for the popular LG Optimus G, though there are no additional details on the exact release date of the upgrade.

The original LG Optimus Vu is also scheduled for a Jelly Bean upgrade, which will, hopefully, arrive by the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
