The smartphone will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box

South Korean company LG has announced earlier today that its Android flagship smartphone the Optimus G will be launched in more than 50 countries in the following weeks.

AusDroid reports that Telstra and LG Australia have just confirmed that the Optimus G will be launched exclusively on the carrier’s airwaves in March.

No word on the pricing options yet, but it will come with LTE support, 13-megapixel rear camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

It is also worth mentioning that LG Optimus G sports a stunning 4.7-inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen display that supports 768 x 1280 pixels resolution, as well as 32GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
