The 5-inch Android handset packs a dual-core processor

South Korean mobile phone maker LG Elecronics has made its Optimus Vu smartphone official in the United Arab Emirates, thus making it available in most major markets around the world, Android Central reports.

The smartphone arrives on shelves in the country with a large 5-inch IPS touchscreen display that can deliver a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, while packing a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor inside.

The mobile phone also features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls.

It was launched with 32GB of internal memory, as well as with a 2080 mAh battery packed inside, and Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board.

The smartphone also packs HDMI, Wifi Direct, DLNA, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and the usual set of sensors.
