The LG G4 has been out and about for some time now, so it’s only natural that the curious folks at iFixit have picked it up to perform one of their usual teardown sessions.

After all, you too might have been curious to see what the latest LG flagship packs under the hood but probably abstained from taking the phone apart yourself for obvious reasons.

We do know that the LG G4 offers a removable battery, and this week’s teardown plainly shows us how easy it is to access this component of the phone.

The LG G4 is held together only with the help of a few screws and most modules can be detached quite easily, provided that you have the right tools, obviously.

And you won’t be seeing big chunks of glue keeping things together or proprietary fasteners making things more difficult than they have to be.

To get an idea of how easy it is to take apart the LG G4, take into consideration that iFixit has awarded the phone with a repairability score of 8 out of 10.

For comparison’s sake, we should say that competing smartphones like the HTC One M9 got a lousy 2 out of 10, while the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge scored 3 points out of 10. Keep in mind that neither of these two phones offers a removable battery.
