Your LG G4 flagship shouldn’t cost much to fix

The LG G4 hasn't been out and about for long, but enough for some folks to get extremely curious about what the phone might be harboring on the inside.

But this time, it’s not the people at iFixit who got to the flagship first, but the team behind Chinese website My Drivers.

Since the G4 offers a removable battery, taking off the back panel and getting to the battery is pretty easy. Afterwards, a few screws stand between you and the rest of G4’s entrails.

Basically, LG didn't complicate itself with excessive wiring, adhesive and copper shielding while building the G4. So everything on the inside looks clean, neat and very well put together.

Reaching the motherboard is a pretty easy task and so is getting to the components that are neatly stacked together.

The source notes that the teardown process lasted 15 minutes, which is pretty impressive.

On top of that, we’re told that maintenance costs are relatively low and the cost of replacing them won’t be too high. As is the case with most smartphones, the display will be the most expensive part to replace.

However, no actual prices were disclosed. But all in all, the LG G4 looks like a pretty fixable device.
