South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics might make the LG G3 flagship smartphone official on May 27, as the company has already started to send out press invitations for an event set to take place on that day.

The company announced that said press conference would take place in 6 cities around the world, including London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Istanbul and Seoul, which clearly suggests that we’re looking at a great device coming soon to the market.

Yesterday, the company revealed that LG G3 would be unveiled before the end of the second quarter of the year, and May 27 appears to be the lucky day for enthusiasts.

The invitation does not mention LG G3 specifically, but all points to this device being set to go official at the said event. Chances are that a new G Watch will also be unveiled next to the smartphone, Engadget notes.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG G3 is expected to land on shelves with a 5.5-inch 2K touchscreen display, as well as with a Snapdragon 801 processor. It should also include 3GB of RAM, a 13MP or 16MP camera on the back, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
