South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is getting ready for the official launch of LG G3 – its latest flagship smartphone – in India, and the company has already sent out invitations for a July 21 event held specifically with this occasion, it seems.

The handset is already available for pre-order in the country at Infibeam, and should start shipping there on July 25, but no official announcement on its arrival has been made until now.

Over the weekend, however, the South Korean vendor announced the aforementioned press event on Twitter, mentioning that the LG G3 was indeed coming soon to this market.

The handset will hit shelves in India with all of the hardware specs and capabilities already announced for it, including a 5.5-inch touchscreen capable of delivering a Quad HD resolution, and a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.

Moreover, it will sport a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a front camera for video calling, and runs under Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Two versions of the phone will arrive in India, one with 16GB of memory and 2GB of RAM, and the other with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.

At the same time, the handset arrives on shelves with all of the usual connectivity capabilities inside, and with a built-in GPS receiver. LG’s Optimus UI was also loaded on top of the handset.
