LG G3, supposedly the next flagship Android-based device from South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics, is expected to land on the market with a dust and waterproof design, just as the latest high-end smartphones from other handset vendors out there.

According to a recent article on ETNews, LG might walk the same path as Sony and Samsung with its next top-of-the-line device, although no official announcement on the matter has been made as of now.

However, with Sony already launching three flagship models with such capabilities (the Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, and Xperia Z2), and with Samsung choosing the feature for its new Galaxy S5 model, it was only a matter of time before more vendors joined the party.

According to said news site, LG has recently stated that the entire industry is moving towards making devices dustproof and waterproof, and that it has decided to include the functionality inside its next flagship device, along with a range of other innovative features.

Some of the latest reports on LG G3 also suggested that the device could hit shelves with 3GB of RAM inside, a 13-megapixel camera with 4K video recording capabilities, and one of the newest mobile processors out there. However, LG hasn’t offered details on the phone’s specs until now.
