Good news for AT&T customers who own LG's flagship smartphone from last year, the G2, as the carrier has just kicked off the rollout of the Knock Code update.

AT&T has just conformed on its official support site that there's a new update for LG G2 owners beginning June 11. The update is pushed FOTA (firmware over the air) and requires a Wi-Fi connection for download.

While there are no details on the size of the update, we're certain that this shouldn't be too large, given the contents that have been confirmed by AT&T.

Speaking of which, the carrier has confirmed that the software update includes the long-awaited Knock Code security feature, as well as Calendar/ Exchange Active Sync (EAS) enhancements.

Even though the update shouldn't delete any data stored on the phone, we recommend LG G2 owners to back up or sync their contacts and files to a PC or with AT&T apps.

Those who have yet to be notified of the update can manually check for it by going to Settings / General / About phone / Software update / Update now. If it doesn't show on your phone right away, you may want to try and check for the update a bit later.
