Although not many Nexus devices have Android 5.1.1 Lollipop installed, LG has just released the latest version of the operating system for its G Flex2.

The update is now available for download in South Korea, GSMArena reports. However, we expect LG to slowly roll out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for G Flex2 globally.

According to the official changelog, the update should fix some bugs and improve performance. Also, the Smart Notice and Smart Bulletin features have been removed from default Home screen, in order to improve performance.

LG G Flex2 owners who want to use Smart Notice should now head to Widgets and add it from there. On the other hand, in order to use Smart Bulletin, you will have to go to Home screen settings and turn it on.

Rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is a great achievement for LG, as the company isn't known for delivering new updates too quickly.

However, we would have preferred the update to arrive on a completely different LG smartphone, one that has major issues after being upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

We're talking about LG G3, which is plagued by lots of problems after the update, including random Wi-Fi disconnections, battery drainage, sluggishness and many more. For more on this one, check out our previous article.
