Last month, Canadian carrier Rogers announced that it would bring the LG G Flex to its customers in early April. True to its promise, the network operator has announced that the curved smartphone is now available for purchase through its official retail channels.

Potential customers can pick this one up for only $200 (€130) with a new two-year agreement. However, those who do not wish to commit to a long-term contract can get the LG G Flex for a whopping $650 (€430) upfront price.

According to Rogers, the smartphone will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but LG has already started to deploy the long-awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. This means that it shouldn’t take too long for Canadians to upgrade their G Flex devices to the latest version of Android.

The LG G Flex comes with LTE Cat.4 (150Mbps) support and a powerful 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

Still, the phone’s main selling point is the 6.0-inch HD curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen display. The screen features 245ppi (pixel density) and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating for extra protection.
