LG is definitely not among those handset makers that deliver Android updates quickly, quite the opposite. Still, from time to time, even LG keeps its promise and offers updates on time, as previously scheduled.

That might be the case with the Optimus 4X HD, which was launched on the market back in June with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box.

Well, that’s about to change as Phonearena reports Italian blog Caotic was able to confirm with LG that Optimus 4X HD will receive a Jelly Bean update in Q1 2013.

Although LG did not offer additional details on the exact release date of the Jelly Bean update, it did mention it would be launched in Europe initially. That’s about it for now, but stay tuned for more info on the matter.
