Remember LG’s odd-looking AKA smartphone lineup? The handsets sporting eyes on the back that react to users and relay notifications when needed were first introduced in South Korea, but a few months later, LG pushed them into the international market too.

The AKA smartphone lineup is available in multiple color options, such as yellow, white, black and pink, and each comes with its unique “personality.”

When released, these mid-range smartphones arrived with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, but luckily, LG is currently in the process of updating the AKA family to the latest Android version.

LG has announced that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is currently available through manual or OTA update in South Korea.

There are three different models of the handset available on the market in the country, including the LG AKA (LG-F520S) for SK Telecom, LG AKA (LG-F520K) for KT, and LG AKA (LG-F520L) for LG U.

The company mentions that the new update will bring enhancements to the lock screen and a visible change to the user interface of the application history.

LG has been one of the manufacturers that have been quick to offer Lollipop on their flagship devices. And now, it appears that the tech giant is moving on to its mid-range products, which also include the LG G Pad tablet lineup.
