Kobo, the eBooks application that allows users to browse and read millions of free and affordable books has just received an update that improves the overall user experience on Android devices.

The latest version of Kobo brings improved tablet support, along with a new ability that allows users to rate their books. The interface of the application has been overhauled and the home screen got a new design.

Given the fact that the application got better tablet support, those who own Android devices with larger screens will now be able to take advantage of the two page landscape view (tablet-only). There’s also an update reading menu and page layout.

Kobo eBooks 4.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up.
