Last month, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung officially confirmed plans to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system to a variety of devices in its lineup, but it seems that it did not provide details on all handsets that might receive it.

According to a newly leaked document, the update is also set to arrive on Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets out there, while also being confirmed for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Grand 2 Duos devices, as SamMobile notes.

Moreover, owners of these phones should expect to see the update available for their smartphones starting with the next month, on the GT-I9300, SM-N7100, and SM-G7102 models.

Said document mentions that the update will be released in the April / May timeframe, though users might not see it available until a few weeks after the official release of Samsung Galaxy S5.

The document has emerged online via justaboutphones, yet there’s no telling on whether it is the real deal or not, so we’ll take the info with a grain of salt for the time being.

Should Samsung indeed aim at bringing KitKat to the aforementioned phones, it should not be too long before some official info on the matter is provided, so stay tuned to learn the news.
