14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Ironhide Game Studio has just announced that its Kingdom Rush game for Android is now available to download for free. The tower defense game was initially available for purchase for $1, so it's not really a big deal.
Still, Ironhide's move is very important to Android users who do not own a credit or debit card that must be used when making purchases on Google Play Store.
Even though Kingdom Rush hasn't been updated since January, it's unclear whether or not developers will continue to support the game.
Kingdom Rush allows players to command their soldiers and see them engage in hand-to-hand cartoon battles. The game feature 8 specialized tower upgrades that allow players to customize their strategy as they see fit.
There are over 18 tower abilities, more than 50 different enemies, 9 heroes to choose from, over 60 achievements and extra game modes.
If don't have the game installed yet, you can now download Kingdom Rush for Android for free via Google Play store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
Keep in mind that although it's free, Kingdom Rush for Android comes with in-app purchases, so you should disable this feature if you don't plan on spending real-life money.
