Amazon has just released a major update for its official Kindle application for Android devices. The application has more than 10 million downloads on Google Play, so the new update will make a lot of people happy.

Long-time users will probably immediately notice the redesigned library experience. In addition, the carousel now displays recent items on the Kindle app home screen.

Developers also confirmed navigation panel organizes content for quick access to user's Books, Documents and Newsstand periodicals.

With the latest version of Kindle for Android users will be able to browse all their items in the Cloud or just the content downloaded on their Android device. A crash some customers reported has been fixed as well.

Kindle 4.0.1.3 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
