We reported less than a week ago that Karbonn planned to launch a new Android smartphone in India, which would feature a huge 5.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

Today, Indian retailer Infibeam has announced that it has started to take orders for Karbonn A30. The smartphone is available for purchase for only Rs 11,540 off contract, which is about $210 or €160. Check it out here.

Aside from boasting an incredible 5.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display, the A30 comes with a 1 GHz dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel rear photo snapper.

The smartphone is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box. There’s also a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Last but not least, Karbonn A30 embeds a high-capacity 2500 mAh Li-Ion battery, dual SIM capability, as well as Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.
