The new update addresses a few specific issues and adds some bug fixes

KakaoTalk developers have just released a maintenance update for their Android application, which focuses on fixing some specific issues that have been previously reported by users.

According to the official changelog, the latest update fixes a problem where emoticons were not displayed properly in the recent emoticon tab.

In addition, developers confirmed that have a addressed a problem where notification was not removed from notification panel despite checking the message.

Last but not least, some general bug fixes have been included in the update as well, but no additional details have been provided on the nature of these issues.

You can now download KakaoTalk for Android 4.3.1 for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.1 and up.
