The amazingly popular KakaoTalk application for Android devices has just been updated with new features and bug fixes.

The application that allows users to make free calls has more than 50 million downloads on Google Play Store, which says something about the usefulness and quality of the software.

The latest version of KakaoTalk allows users to make a group call by choosing up to 5 out of more than 6 people in a chat room.

Users can also make a group call by inviting friends while they are making a free call in 1:1 chat room. In addition, the update added the ability to turn off a chat room alert for 1:1 chats with certain friends.

Last but not least, developers have added the option to put up an announcement notice at the top of a 1:1 chat room by long-tapping the message they have sent. Other bug fixes have been included as well.

KakaoTalk 3.6.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.6 and up. Check it out here.
