One of the smartphones that Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has been recently rumored to plan for launch in its homeland country is the Xperia UL, which should become available on KDDI’s network with model number SOL22 attached.

Although nothing has been officially unveiled on the smartphone as of now, it has been already spotted on an LTE speed test database, with support for download speeds of up to 32.9Mbps, a post on rbmen unveils.

The handset is expected to hit shelves at KDDI with a design similar to that of Xperia ZL, while packing a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor inside, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the smartphone will feature a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 2300mAh battery, and Google’s Android 4.2.1 JellyBean operating system loaded on top. The phone might become official in Japan sometime in summer.
