One of the most respected brands in India in the last several years, Nokia lost its place among mobile phone users. However, some of the remnants of what once was one of the most prolific handset makers in the world is about to enter the Indian market.

Finnish company Jolla seems to be determined to conquer the Indian smartphone market with its devices. The handset maker has yet to make any announcements, but one of India’s major online retailers, Snapdeal, has already teased the arrival of Jolla in the country.

In fact, Snapdeal has already put up a webpage dedicated to the new brand, where customers can register with their emails in order to receive info on when exactly the first Jolla smartphones will be available for purchase.

For the time being, the only thing we know for certain is that Jolla smartphones will eventually be available for purchase in India, but how much they will cost and when they will go on sale is still a mystery.

Jolla’s Sailfish smartphone sports a 4.5-inch Estrade capacitive touchscreen display and comes packed with a dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

It also features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 4G support. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
