As expected, Motorola and Verizon Wireless have just started the rollout of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD.

The US-based handset maker has just confirmed the update is now live OTA (over the air), so owners of DROID RAZR HD and MAXX HD devices can manually check for the upgrade by going to Settings / About phone / Software update / Check now.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade will bring new features such as Google Now, Voice Search and Richer notifications.

Give the fact the update is pushed through in stages, it might take a while until it reaches all DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD devices.
