Owners of a Galaxy S II LTE smartphone on the network of Canadian wireless carrier Rogers can now download and install the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system on their devices, recent reports suggest.

The new firmware release for the Samsung SGH-I727R is landing on devices as version I727RUXUMA7, a recent post on Samsung Updates reads.

Users interested in downloading and installing the software should be able to do so via Samsung’s Kies desktop application. The firmware can also be found online for manual download.

Last week, Samsung Canada confirmed the availability of the Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S II on Bell’s network in the country, and also said that it would deliver specific details on the availability of the platform upgrade for other wireless carriers in the near future.
