Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone on the network of wireless carrier Bell in Canada will soon get a taste of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system in a matter of days, Samsung Canada has announced.

No other details on the new software update have been provided, or on how long it will need to reach all users out there.

“Hope GALAXY S II owners on @Bell_Mobility's network are hungry! You'll be getting a taste of Jelly Bean in the next few days,” Samsung said on Twitter.

Additionally, the mobile phone maker announced on Facebook that it planned the release of this update for Galaxy S II handsets at other wireless carriers too in the not too distant future. Other smartphones in the company’s lineup are also set to receive Jelly Bean soon.
