The logo might have been attached to another application

One of the interesting details that were spotted recently in a Windows Phone advertisement is the Instagram logo pinned on the home screen of a handset, which supposedly would suggest that the application was en route to Microsoft’s mobile operating system.

However, no official mention of plans to bring the software to this OS has emerged so far, and all this might be false advertising, it seems.

In fact, WPCentral notes in a recent article that, since there are many apps in the Windows Phone Store that make use of the Instagram logo, and which can be pinned to the home screen, it all might be only a big confusion.

However, Windows Phone is set to receive an app that offers similar functionality with Instagram, namely Molome, a move confirmed not too long ago by Nokia and Molome themselves.
