A new flavor of the popular Instagram application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 4.0.1, which brings along Video on Instagram, a brand new feature to the service.

The new capability increases the sharing options that users could enjoy on their Android devices, although the capturing of videos is currently supported only on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and newer OS flavors.

“Recording videos is currently supported on devices with Jellybean (4.1) and above. All Android versions can already play videos on Instagram and we’re working around the clock to enable capturing videos on many more Android devices,” the release notes unveil.

After installing the new app release, users will receive access to the new video mode, so that they could record clips of up to 15 seconds. 13 filters are also available for them.
