Although most handset vendors out there have already launched large-screen smartphones, Nokia is a bit behind the trend, though it appears set to catch up, with the Nokia Lumia 625 being the first phone in its series to jump over the 4.5-inch size.

Launched with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, this is the largest handset in Nokia’s current portfolio, though it is expected to be followed by 5-inch and larger devices soon.

We caught a glimpse at it at the IFA 2013 show in Berlin, and also shot a few pictures of it, for your viewing pleasure.

Nokia Lumia 625 went official back in July with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor packed inside, 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The device also comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as with a front camera for video calling, the usual set of sensors packed inside, and with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on top.
