Starting today, owners of Windows Phone 8 devices can download and install a new application on their devices, namely Hulu Plus.

The Windows Phone 8 mobile client provides users with access to content available via the Hulu Plus service, including current season episodes of Community, Family Guy, Glee, Modern Family, The Vampire Diaries, and other popular shows.

The service can be accessed over Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G networks, but requires a monthly fee of $7.99 (6.12 Euro), with limited advertising, the app’s description reads.

Hulu Plus also offers Trending Now clips; ad-free kids shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly, and Caillou; classic series, including Lost, Battlestar Galactica, and Arrested Development; Live Tile updates on shows; the possibility to search for episodes, clips, and movies, and other features as well.

The app has been said to arrive on Windows Phone 8 ever since last month, but was officially confirmed for availability only today, and is now up for grabs for free through this page in the official Windows Phone Store.
