Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei has been long said to be gearing up for the launch of devices running under Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8 operating system, and it seems that we have a timeframe for when they will be made official.

The latest reports on the matter suggest that the handsets, two of them, will be announced in early 2013 at CES, where the company will unveil other smartphones as well.

Dubbed Ascend W1 and Ascend W2, these phones are said to have emerged online before, with the former allegedly pictured in the photo above, available courtesy of evleaks.

It seems that Huawei too will adopt the same colorful outer design of Windows Phone 8 handsets that Nokia and HTC have shown, yet it remains to be seen how much of the above info will indeed pan out.
