The last “myTouch” smartphones launched by T-Mobile USA last year were manufactured by Korean handset maker LG. Well, it appears that the carrier is not content with how well they fared on the market, so it decided to change the OEM.

The folks over at Pocketnow claim that the next “myTouch” series smartphones will be manufactured by Chinese company Huawei. Codenamed U8680 and U8730, both devices are expected to arrive on the market sometime in May.

No details have been unveiled yet other than the fact one will feature a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and both will come with WVGA displays with support for 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, rumor has it that these will be launched with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, though this has yet to be confirmed.
