The handset will land in China, Russia, India and select European countries in Q1 2013

Before the end of this quarter, Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei will bring to shelves its first smartphone powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, and some more info on its pricing is now available.

The handset is listed at vmall with a price tag of 1,599 Yuan ($250 / €193) attached to it. The smartphone will be launched in China, Russia, India and some European markets in the coming weeks.

Made official at the 2013 Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas earlier this month, the Huawei Ascend W1 will hit shelves with a 4-inch IPS LCD 480 x 800 touchscreen and with a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and Adreno 305 GPU.

Furthermore, it will sport 4GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, and a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and HD video recording.
