We reported about a week ago that Huawei Ascend W1 would arrive in Russia in early February, but it looks like the smartphone has been slightly delayed.

According to WMPoweruser, Huawei Russia has confirmed that the Ascend W1 will still be available for purchase in the country beginning this month.

In addition, the company has even stated that the smartphone will go on sale much cheaper than the previously announced suggested retail price of $400/€295.

Huawei Russia claims the Ascend W1 will be available for purchase starting February for only 8990 rubles outright, which is about $300 or €220.

The smartphone packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 305 GPU and 512MB of RAM.

There are 4GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. More details on the Huawei Ascend W1 are available here.
