Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei should make official in the not-too-distant future a new smartphone running under Android, supposedly one of the thinnest such devices in the world, namely the Ascend P6.

The Huawei Ascend P6 has been already confirmed by Huawei, yet an official announcement on the smartphone has yet to be made.

The phone is expected to land on shelves with a metallic frame, a 6.2mm thin body, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor inside, and Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

The device is also said to sport 8GB of internal memory, as well as with Huawei’s Emotion UI loaded on top of Android. The handset might become official on July 18, rumor has it.
