Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is expected to show to the world its next flagship Android-based handset at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, the Huawei Ascend D2, and some more info on the phone is now available.

The handset will land on shelves with Huawei’s own multi-core 1.5GHz processor inside, as well as with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, while also packing a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The phone is also expected to be unveiled with a front-facing camera and with a 3,000mAh battery, while looking as pictured in the photo embedded above (courtesy of UnwiredView).

Huawei will load its own UI on top of Android, while planning to announce Ascend D2 along with its first Windows Phone devices, the Ascend W1 and W2.
