A great deal of mobile phone makers out there have announced over the past six months or so their intention to release Windows Phone handsets, and Hisense is one that will make such a move shortly.

The Chinese vendor has announced on its Wiebo page that its first such smartphone will become official as soon as tomorrow and that it will be a 4G-enabled phone, WMPoweruser has discovered.

No further details on the device have been provided as of now, but the fact that it will come with support for the latest generation data networks should already make it interesting.

In case you didn’t know, learn that 4G is only picking up Steam in China, and that mobile phone makers there are looking to grab as big a slice of this pie as possible, Hisense included.

The smartphone will be announced tomorrow during an event where Microsoft, China Telecom, and Qualcomm will be present too, which allows us to make an idea of the carrier that will add it to its offering.

As mentioned above, many handset vendors are planning on joining the Windows Phone party shortly, after some others have already made the step, including Micromax, YEZZ, BLU, and others.

With no specific details on Hisense’s new phone available as of now, it remains to be seen what exactly it will have to offer to its users. One thing that is certain at the moment, however, is that the phone might not arrive on shelves outside China anytime soon.
