Soon, Vertu might bring to the market a high-end smartphone running under the Android operating system, and it seems that the phone has just made an appearance in AnTuTu.

The mobile phone was spotted there with model number RM-980V attached to it (which, as UnwiredView notes, reminds us of Nokia’s model numbering) and with top-of-the-line hardware specifications.

According to the info spotted in the benchmarking application, the upcoming handset will land on shelves with a display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a powerful 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor inside.

Moreover, the mobile phone should feature 2GB of RAM when released, along with 16 GB of internal memory. At the same time, the new device appears to include a 13MP rear camera and to be running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box.

Supposedly codenamed Signature Touch, the new Vertu phone appears set to prove itself quite the beast, though it remains to be seen when exactly it will arrive on the market.

Even more importantly, it remains to be seen what price tag the smartphone will sport. Vertu handsets are not cheap devices, and this phone will certainly not have a low cost attached to it, especially if it will include the aforementioned hardware specs.
