Every month, independent IT security institute AV-Test posts a list of the best antivirus software solutions for Android. And the results for the previous month of May are already in.

The firm reviewed 25 mobile security apps for Android, focusing on realistic test scenarios covering areas of Protection, Usability and Features, and it came up with a verdict.

Interestingly enough, all the reviewed apps performed quite well, being able to identify more than 95% of the used malware samples. The average detection score was 99.5% and the number of false positives was very low.

According to test results, mobile security apps such as Antiy, Avira, Baidu, ESET, G Data and Kaspersky Lab's Internet Security delivered 100% protection, topping the list of the best apps to be used on Android devices.

You can check out the full results in the image attached to this blog post.

Each app was evaluated independently based on the three factors we mentioned above. For example, in the case of Antiy, it was demonstrated that the performance does not impact the battery life. The app does not slow down the device during normal usage, nor does it generate too much traffic.

Check out the list of antivirus solutions, and if you don’t have an anti-malware app installed on your device yet, you will know what to get now.
