HTC launches new program to take care of your flagship

HTC has been teasing a major announcement this week and we have been anticipating wonderful things like, maybe, the One M9 Plus.

However, it appears this is not the case after all, as the company pulled the wraps off a new “Uh-Oh Program,” which has been designed exclusively for the One M9 and One M8 smartphones.

This news is quite exciting because HTC is giving flagship owners the opportunity to exchange their handset in case something goes wrong.

If you drop your One M9 on the concrete and it breaks, you’ll be able to take it back to HTC and get a brand new one instead. The same applies if you are bored of doing business with the same carrier and you want to switch.

HTC is also awarding you a $100 / €78 discount on your future One M8 or One M9 smartphone purchase, to make sure you stay away from Uh-Oh Program services, at least for now.

HTC is facing acute competition from Samsung who also unveiled its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge handsets at the same event earlier this month.

So the company is trying to differentiate its flagship from the countless models on the market, by offering a free insurance package with each flagship purchase.
