The update brings some minor improvements and bug fixes

The old HTC Thunderbolt is about to receive another maintenance update at Verizon Wireless. The carrier has already published the update’s official changelog, so it shouldn’t be long until it reaches Thunderbolt devices.

According to this changelog, the update is meant to improve users experience with Yahoo and Microsoft Exchange Email connectivity.

In addition, the text messaging application has been improved and microphone should now work with HAC enabled. Amber alerts are now visible and HTC Watch application now shows titles available for viewing or purchase.

The update has about 19MB in size and is pushed OTA (over the air), so it should arrive on all HTC Thunderbolt devices by the end of the month.

Oddly enough, the update does not bring any improvements to the laggy Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade that was delivered a few months ago.
