Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is gearing up for the release of a new smartphone, and the company has already started teasing the device online.

To be more precise, the handset vendor has published a teaser image on Weibo, one that comes with the following tagline, “Fashion does not mean luxury.”

No specific info on what this device will be all about has been provided as of now, but some of the latest reports have suggested that the vendor was planning the release of two high-end smartphones, namely the HTC One M8 Ace and the One M8 Prime, and the new teaser might be referring to one of them.

As TalkAndroid notes, the company might be referring to the One (M8) Ace in the new teaser, given that the phone has been said to land on shelves with the same specs as the HTC One M8, but with a lower price tag.

The more affordable cost of the device will reportedly be influenced by the fact that it will land on shelves with a plastic body, instead of an aluminum one, as with the HTC One M8.

Additionally, the M8 Prime is said to arrive sometime in September, with premium specs and a higher price tag, and HTC wouldn’t tease a phone that is months away.
