Wireless carrier T-Mobile is currently delivering a new software update to its HTC Sensation 4G smartphones, and users are already reporting successful installations, it seems.

Apparently, the new firmware is meant to resolve a series of issues that the smartphone came to shelves with, while also being expected to improve the handset’s battery life, as well as the overall stability of the system.

Improvements for Trace dictionary and Wi-Fi connections are also expected to have been included into the mix, along with fixes for image pixelations, screenshot taking, and more.

The update is arriving on devices over the air, which means that it will be delivered in stages. However, T-Mobile reportedly expects the software (version 1.50.531.1) to have been delivered to all users by January 15th.

To check whether the update is available for their devices or not, uses should head to Settings > About phone > HTC software updates. The OS remains Android 2.3.4, just as before.
