HTC and Verizon Wireless took their time to offer the hotly anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Rezound.

Although the Taiwanese handset maker confirmed the upgrade will be available in Q2, HTC Rezound owners had to wait until Q3 in order to be able to update their devices to Ice Cream Sandwich.

However, it appears that Verizon and HTC teamed up once again to offer a new software update, which is supposed to activate Rezound's global roaming capabilities.

The update is about 103MB in size and bumps the phone's software to version 4.03.605.1. We're not sure if the update brings any other changes, as Verizon has yet to release the official changelog.

According to AndroidForums, the update is currently pushed OTA (over the air), though it's not sure whether or not Verizon is pushing it to all HTC Rezound devices, or this is just part of the initial test.
