There are no less than 12 stages to the adaptation of a Google Android release

HTC is one of the few companies that have already upgraded some of its products to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The unlocked HTC One, developer and Google editions have already received the update and US-based carriers are now waiting to get it as well.

However, in order to make the whole process of updating more transparent and easy to understand for customers, HTC has just published a huge infographic that shows the steps that the company has to follow to bring a major update to its products.

According to this diagram, there are no less than 12 stages to the adaptation of a Google Android release starting from launch of the PDK (platform development kit) and till the moment the final build is pushed to end users.
