One of the smartphones that has been long rumored to arrive on shelves at Verizon in the not too distant future is the Android-based flagship HTC One, and some more details on it are now available.

Apparently, HTC and Verizon will launch the device with Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top right from the start, at least this is what a recent tweet from @LlabTooFeR claims.

HTC One was made available for purchase around the world running under Android 4.1.2, but it has already started receiving the newer OS version, as previously reported.

No specific info on when this mobile phone will be put up for sale through Verizon has been provided as of now, although the wireless carrier did confirm plans to release it. More might become official soon, so stay tuned for additional details.
