Australian mobile phone maker Telstra has officially announced the availability of the HTC One mini 2 smartphone on its network, and users can already grab the phone for $528 (€375) outright.

HTC One mini 2 was made official a few months ago as the smaller version of the HTC One M8, and arrives on shelves with some of the features and capabilities of the flagship, though in a more compact body.

The hardware specs of HTC One mini 2 have also been downgraded when compared to its larger counterpart, though users will still enjoy appealing performance capabilities.

The mobile phone sports a 4.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, along with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with Adreno 305 graphics.

Moreover, the handset features 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space.

On the back, it packs a 13-megapixel camera, which can record videos in full HD resolution, and which is paired with a 5MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

HTC One mini 2 also sports a 2110mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6 loaded on top.
